The UPS Store in Fort Pierre Is Much More Than A Shipping Location
FPDC Helps Celebrate Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting –
FPDC Board Members, Fort Pierre Chamber, Mayor, City Council Members and County Commissioners welcomed a new business to town with a ribbon cutting Wednesday. The UPS Store opened April 14, 2024 and is open seven days a week on Island Drive just south of Pizza Ranch. Owner Beth Henrichsen says she and her husband saw a need for UPS services in central South Dakota…a place to pack and ship a box.
Henrichsen and her husband did some investigating and found that UPS did much more than just ship packages so they decided to get the franchise. They found that UPS had been wanting to get a franchise in this area and hadn’t done it yet. The timing was perfect!
Henrichsen continued, “People have been very excited when they came into the store. It took a while to get the signage so we have been waiting to do this grand opening.” The UPS Store is located in Teton Island and certain requirements have to be met for signs and construction.
She said, “People can find us real easy; we are right next to Pizza Ranch if your GPS isn’t working right.” The UPS Store will offer a full line of packing and shipping options along with a full line of printing options, mailboxes, street address for mailing, mail forwarding and document shredding and services. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays and 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Beth Henrichsen and the UPS Store were Fort Pierre Development’s May Business of the Month. To read that article go to https://fortpierredevelopmentcorp.com/fpdc-may-business-of-the-month-is-the-ups-store/.
