Fort Pierre Development Corporation Had A Busy Day March 29th!
At 4 p.m. yesterday, Executive Director Dave Bonde conducted a ribbon cutting for Yellowstone Cannabis Care. Assisting with the ribbon cutting were Fort Pierre Mayor Gloria Hanson, FPDC President Lyle Magorien and FPDC board member Larry Cronin. Tom and Nancy Johnson assist son Jake Johnson, his wife Tara, and his manager Tony Jocheck in cutting the ribbon for Yellowstone Cannabis Care March 29th. At 2:30 Dave Bonde hosted a bus tour for 25 members of Dakota Resources who were holding their annual meeting in Fort Pierre at Drifters. Dakota Resources is a rural development group based in Brookings who began 25 years ago with a vision to connect capital to rural economic development organizations in South Dakota. Today our work reaches over 160 communities across the nation. Our five programs are dedicated to building financial and leadership capacity for a thriving rural. The bus tour started at Americinn and proceeded through Teton Island, Marion’s Garden, and down Yellowstone Street past the senior housing development. The downtown portion of the tour took in the Fairgrounds and Expo Center. Also viewed were potential new housing development areas and the new hotel site.
