HIRING: State Environmental Review Coordinator in South Dakota

USDA Rural Development (RD) offices nationwide are looking for environmental protection specialists to join their teams as State Environmental Coordinators. This position provides oversight and support in ensuring RD complies with laws protecting natural, environmental, and cultural resources, as well as effective integration of environmental considerations in applicant proposals as required by various federal and state statutes and regulations, and RD environmental policies and procedures, including the National Environmental Policy Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Water Act. Work is performed in coordination with state and local office staff, regulatory agencies, and applicants, with assistance, training, and guidance from National Office staff.
